Ripper writes wonderful, flawed characters who make questionable choices, yet you still want to root for them. This was charming, sweet, emotional, and wonderful. I'd love to someday see Orion's POV to feel that angst over growing attraction to Des at the cabin. I loved Des' chaotic internal monologue. The conflict felt real and natural, and the resolution was satisfying without feeling cheesy. Pete Cross's narration was perfection.
