Shadowed

I wanted to like Shadowed by Michelle Areaux. There are times I did like this book. The relationship between Henley and Cohen is romantic and cute. I love the backstory on Cohen.

Unfortunately I just kept running into too many similarities to Twilight (Dir. C. Hardwicke, 2008) the movie. I do not want to give away the book, but after the fifth event which runs parallel to the Twilight movie I was saying to myself, “Seriously?!”

The book is well-written. It reads quickly. My only problem with it, is that I felt like I was in a rerun of a movie.
