Shadowshaper

This book is about Sierra Santiago, a teen artist who lives in New York. She starts to notice that the town murals are fading and some are even crying, she senses that there's something wrong. Then , shortly after she makes her observation she gets attacked by some sort of husk or zombie like corpse.

I enjoyed this book, I really loved all the commentary on “boys clubs”, racism, and bigotry. I'm excited to read the sequels to this!
