Shift

First off I want to say thank you so much to the author for providing me with an ecopy in exchange for an honest review.

This was my first book by this author and I was pleasantly surprised by it. This book is told from Perry's POV so you learn what is going on when she does. Even though she is clueless as to what is going on she is such a strong, fierce, badass woman and I love seeing female characters who can take care of themselves and aren't afraid to put people in their place if need be.

Max is the hero of the story and I love how he is smart and geeky and not your typical jock type hero (which is fine as well) but it's nice to have the “underdogs” come out on top.

Y'all know if there's a romance present I have to talk about it. While the romance in this could probably pass as cheesy I absolutely loved it. It was so cute and adorable even though I highly doubt any guy in the real world would do/say the things Max did I still couldn't help but root for them.

The word building was amazing. You would think with all the different worlds that are mentioned you would get confused but I didn't. The author did an amazing job a differentiating between each of the worlds you visit and paints a very clear picture of each one.

The one thing that bothered me is that it ended abruptly in my opinion. The book doesn't end on a cliffhanger or anything I just felt like it could have used more.

If you haven't read this book yet I would definitely recommend it.
