In this wordless picture book, a little girl collects wildflowers while her distracted father pays her little attention. Each flower becomes a gift, and whether the gift is noticed or ignored, both giver and recipient are transformed by their encounter. It is those splashes of color that attract your eye, that tell you the story of a child who walks through the city finding flowers in the cracks of the sidewalk and who then shares those flowers, that color, with the rest of the world around her.
