This man...he burns my world to ash and builds it up again into something I never thought could be mine.

It's been days since I read this book, and I'm still thinking about it. YES.

I don't know what it is about Lilian, but she already got me with her previous series and characters. And this new one is no different.

We already had a glimpse of the characters in the previous series (however, it is not mandatory to read it in order to read this one) and I was really excited about the story.

But this book? Yeah, it was not as I expected, it was much, much more.

We have Elsie a strong character who has suffered a lot since she and her friends were kidnapped. However, despite everything, she still struggles to escape, and the opportunity presents itself in the form of a dangerous man.

Michael it was not what I expected and that was a pleasant surprise. He is a bad and dangerous man, but he has a soft spot, and I love it! I loved his scenes with Sophia (I really loved this kid so much) and how protective of her he was. And not only with her, but with his brothers as well, I already need the books of the other two.

Michael and Elsie together were so much fun and amazing, she knew how dangerous Michael could be, but she wouldn't shut up and reply to him and I loved reading about the interactions and the tension they were building. Michael helped Elsie overcome her traumas, but Elsie was also a help to Michael, and not only when she accepted the deal to marry him.

This book was really amazing and an incredible start to the new series, I know the other books are going to be up to the challenge.

So, if you are looking for a book with:
- Mafia romance
- He falls first
- Single dad
- Forced proximity
- Marriage of convenience
- Enemies to lovers
- One bed
- Touch her and die

This one is for you!

Thank you Lilian for the arc, I can't wait for another book of yours!
