Meg is a pre med student who lost someone recently and she's struggling with that loss and the overwhelming guilt. She is a hard working student, has a little trouble connecting with her parents and she is a sweet girl. She goes to a party, where she is supposed to meet Kara, her best friend, and she runs into Miles while looking for a bathroom. How they meet is probably the most hilarious scene in the book.

Miles is a rock star. As in sexy, tattooed, tortured soul who is the Sinful Serenade lead singer and song writer. I have to say Miles surprised me, I don't really see him as tortured, I think he often acts as the perfect guy but he struggles with some issues, tortured is a heavy word for it.

They have an instant connection and that kind of bugged me, it just felt a little rushed. That aside, I really liked how Meg tells him that nothing is going to happen between them, as soon as Miles is flirting with her, even though it didn't take much to change her mind. Meg is desperate to fill the void inside and the insane attraction between them is obviously impossible to resist. Both of them are way too raw to dive in a relationship, but since Meg is a virgin, they also rule out a one night stand, so Meg states her terms for their friends with benefits relationship.

Miles is a little harder to understand than Meg, but the author shows perfectly that at some point even Miles doesn't understand what he's doing, he just can't stay away from Meg and he doesn't know how to handle his feelings. I think the last piece of the puzzle (when Meg finds out what Miles is hiding from her) fits perfectly, he obviously struggles with feeling too much and that last piece totally explains it.

I really enjoyed this book, sometimes I wanted more details, more Kara and more of the other band members, but it's definitely a good start to this series.

Anyone who loves books about sexy rock band members, will love to read Sing Your Heart Out, I promise Miles is everything you're looking for in a book boyfriend!

I'm looking forward to read about the other band members, especially Drew and Kara's story. Without a doubt, Crystal Kaswell made my list of authors to watch and read.
