First I want to thank the author for providing me with a code for the audiobook on audible. When the author reached out to me I read the synopsis like I always do and I thought this book sounded like one I would end up enjoying. Unfortunately this book wasn't for me at all.

As mentioned in the synopsis Sloan suffers from BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder). I have heard of this but I personally don't really know anything about it. I went into this thinking it was going to be about Sloan and her mental illness but we barely get anything about the mental illness besides that she has it. Being someone who knows nothing about this mental illness I would have liked the author to have gone more in depth with it. I feel like if the author had gone more in depth I would have had more compassion for Sloan instead of her coming off as a clingy needy girl to me. If you are familiar with BPD I am sure you would understand why she does the things she does.

The first half or more was all about partying, drugs and sex. Literally that's all they did over and over again. I am all for having fun but this was just a no for me. After the first half there was no more partying but there was still a lot of drugs and sex. I don't want to spoil anything but it just seemed to me like Sloan was making one bad decision after another and I was cringing listening to it. I will say the sex was very steamy and graphic which is the only plus side to the story for me but it was also a little cringy at times with how she refers to things.

The last half of the book was about Ryan and Sloan and how in love they are with each other which became very repetitive but the last couple of chapters something happens that makes it pick up a little but I'm not invested in the character enough to want to want to continue the series.

I hate that this book didn't work for me but I think that if you go into it already knowing and understanding BPD that you could potentially enjoy it.
