A tourist trap sucks in Patty & Co. with the promise of a free vacation, free food, all expenses paid beach stay, but ends up being something much more sinister(-lite) for Familiar owners. Patty gets whisked away for re-education, Norman finds demons, and Lasanil indulges in her love of cute furry things, and yet somehow everything still manages to be okay at the end.
Even though this follows the same formula of Norman haring off after unique demons to study them, Patty chasing after him and eating food and stumbling on plot points, and Lasanil trying to keep them all safe, I feel like each new predicament is unique enough to feel fresh. Living in a tourist-y city myself, this volume felt especially humorous, when you compare it to how predatory actual tourist traps are. Maybe not quite as bad as Familiar owner re-education camps, but still kinda awful in their own right.
Super fun series still!
