Not crazy about this one. I had to force myself to finish it. Opal was a mess, and so was the story. Training with Valek, adopting children, and falling in love with her torturer was a little too all over the place for me. I always liked Opal, and this just felt like she stood there and let bad things happen to her. Over and over again. Page after page. But, I liked Kade, so maybe I'm just bitter he was not in the book as much as the others.
