Worth for Loids backstory, otherwise the story is loosening its grip for me.
I would love to see more character development and not the same scenes over and over, like anya getting bad notes at school, Anya fighting Damian over whatever, Yuri visiting her sister and start being a psycho, etc.
My go-to series during reading slumps these past couple years. I'm hella itching for some plot things to happen, like for at least one of the parents to learn Anya can read minds, or even the dog, idc I need some movement here, like even if it's just suspicion of each other being more than they seem. None of that happened, but there were some cool backstory/flashback things, so 4 stars.
Let me just tell you that Vol. 10 made me so emotional learning about what Loid has gone through during his childhood and how he became a spy. We clearly see his growth development from the events that happened in his childhood/ teenage years to the start of his spy career.
I was not prepared for how intense the lengthy first story in this volume was going to be, but I did enjoy getting some back story on Twilight. I loved the Handler focused tale, would love to see more of those. Glad Yor has got a potentially volatile support group to dazzle with her hyper competence, and endlessly amused about how clueless Anya is, despite being a mind-reader, and how she always can find new ways to create chaos/mess things up.🤷🏼♂️ The Bondman spoof was hilarious. The short with Franky and Bond the dog just kind of made me wish they both had better sources of advice. 🤦🏼♂️ On to the next!
