Rear Admiral Michelle Henke was commanding one of the ships in a force led by Honor Harrington in an all-out space battle when she and her surviving crew were taken prisoner. Through an agreement with the Havenites and her government, she was given a command far away from the war's battle lines. What she didn't realize was that she would find herself on a collision course with the interstellar syndicate of criminals known as Manpower.

Took a while to finish this (on audiobook). It seems like a lot of long term sci fi have been getting a refresh. The Star Trek Movie, Battle Star Galactica, John Ringo's books. They all have taken good story arcs and completely changed them around.
The Honor Harrington universe needed something. There was only so long they could fight Haven. This book was the re-envisioning that was needed to keep the series alive. It was a bit tedious at times because the characters kept having to explain what was going on and why the story was changing. But it is worth it. I am looking forward to the next one.
