This was such a fun adventure! I really enjoyed this novel from Philippa Gregory. Her other books are good, but I find myself feeling down and depressed when reading them. I think it's because she tries to portray her historical novels as true to life as possible. Life would have been hard in 1453. In this book she uses imagination to take you from painful potential reality and let's us enjoy a good fictional story. It's a bit of mystery, adventure, a love story and even a little spooky.
