Accidentally re-read this book this week. It has been re-released with a new cover and I recalled the title but wasn't sure if I had read it. I got about 200 pages into the book thinking “this sounds familiar but I'm just not sure.” This is one of the more hooky concepts for Crusie. The protagonists are a liberal, tree-hugging girl and a Republican, corporate-climber man. As one of Crusie's earlier works, it doesn't have the charm or complexity of her more recent work.
