I am a sucker for books that have continuing characters and/or story lines. Since this wasn't the first time I've read about Jack Kincaid and Megan Elliot I felt like they were old friends, yet it was still exciting to see where the story would take them.
The bad guys are bad and I loved the main evil-doer. I thought the little twist about that one wasn't something you normally see in these types of books and never, to my recollection, something Brennan has done before.
Of course, the romance is always just kind of thrown in there, but that's okay with me. I prefer less romance, but for those of you who think this is a romantic thriller, it's really not. A good suspense novel, but not a smut book!
