This was certainly one of the better romance novels I've read (in terms of mass market paperbacks), both in plot and characterization. However, Rosa's clothing choices (a red polka-dotted halter top, red capri pants, big hoop earrings...?) leave a lot to be desired.
That's a relatively minor issue though. I feel that a distracting issue with books written by people who are trying to capture Italian-American families is a penchant for really terrible naming. But other than that, this book was quite good. I just hope you don't get distracted by some of the trite names!
