The Corner Kids' plans are ruined when car troubles prevent them from visiting the water park. Alex comes up with an idea to help them have fun despite having to stay home.
I had never read any Corner Kids books before but I would like to find more. This is another of those books that is a fairly easy read (I did not trust my below-average first graders to read it independently but it would be fine for average and up) that has a definite teachable theme. It wasn't a great pick for unmotivated readers but I also kind of killed the fun of it with too much pre-reading work.
