Naomi I can't understand why - out of the four hockey players I'm sharing a house with this semester - Finn Howard's the one who catches my eye. The guy never smiles. He doesn't say much and disapproves plenty. But, something about him feels familiar. Something about him feels safe. I'm not falling for Finn, I'm just curious. Could I make him smile? It wouldn't hurt to try. I love a good challenge. And who knows, maybe it'll distract me from pining over a guy I meet online. Finn I don't get nervous unless I'm on the ice. So why does my chest feel tight whenever Naomi Lewis looks in my direction? She's witty, kind, and happy. How is someone that happy all the time? If her sunny disposition isn't enough to distract me, the fact that her voice sounds exactly like the streamer I anonymously moderate for will. If Naomi is her, she's in for a huge disappointment. I'm not the guy she thinks I am...not anymore, at least. And for that reason alone, I should stay away from her. I should stop trying to get closer. I should stop wanting her because she fell for someone else. Someone I will never be again. __ Sunny Disposition is a slow burn, hidden identity romance featuring a grumpy, amnesic hockey player and sunshine cozy game streamer.

WARNING: I will be making a lot of comparisons with Icebreaker in this review since they are my first two sport/hockey books and Icebreaker was a massive disappointment while Sunny Disposition gave me everything I wanted.
Sunny Disposition is everything that I was expecting from Icebreaker in terms of plot and smut quality. Reading one after another made me realise how poorly written Icebreaker.
Sunny Disposition's plot is interesting and all characters actually exist outside of the romance/sex. Finn has his issues that do impact his relationship with the other protagonist, Naomi, but these issues also impact his relationship with his friends and family (which is covered in as much detail and care as his romance with Naomi).
Naomi also has her problems that she discusses with her friends, MidQuest (who she later finds out is Finn) and Celeste. Her life doesn't just revolve around Finn, but also her struggles dealing with poverty and her mother's death.
The amount of side characters were good and were allowed to shine approximately (love u Lincoln
I wish the book was longer so that there was more time for certain themes to be better developed. The most important aspects of the book—Finn's amnesia for example—weren't thoroughly explored enough in my opinion. There was a lot happening and I was left with some loose ends & questions unanswered. Felt a little rushed, especially the relationship, but it was super cute regardless, a fun quick read was just what I needed
cute! although why did no one care that he lost all his memories? and celeste kept accusing finn of standing naomi up as if he meant to be hospitalized on purpose... where is the empathy
