Callie is a pretty engaging character, she's got a sense of humor that's really endearing and I really enjoyed the parts where she was struggling to sneak through the devastated city. I also liked Kas, I'm a sucker for autistic coded characters that aren't haughty, and Kas really hit the spot on that front. Their interactions with other survivors is where it got less interesting and I couldn't help but feeling like I'd read these parts in at least 5 other zombie novels because that's just how tropey they were.
