Sweet Little Lies

Sweet Little Lies is the first book in Jill Shalvis' Heartbreaker Bay Series and it's the perfect beginning to this new series.

Finn O'Reily is six-foot plus of awesomeness! Finn and his younger brother Sean own the pub on the ground floor of the courtyard of Pru's apartment and it's impossible not to notice Finn... He's hot, sexy and really hard working. He devotes most of his time to their pub and to keep his brother in line. (Let me say that I loved Sean, he's hilarious! He knows all too well how to push Finn's buttons exactly like close brothers do.)
Pru is captain of a San Francisco Bay tour boat, she recently moved to a new apartment and just started to get to know her neighbors. She's cute, funny and sweet but she's lonely. What really defines Pru is her huge heart. I loved how she's incredibly selfless. She's always thinking about helping people and part of this is because she has a huge guilt complex. She knows exactly who Finn is and she also knows she can't fall in love with him. She just didn't count on Finn being so swoon-worthy...

I loved all the characters! Finn's friends quickly welcomed Pru into their group, they are really close to each other and they've got each other's backs, their banter and their sense of humor is nothing short of perfect and I can't wait to get their stories (especially Elle's book!).



The chemistry between Finn and Pru is off the charts! I mean Finn is PERFECT! He's definitely on my book boyfriend list. Their relationship progresses smoothly and even though Pru tries to keep him at arm's length, Finn isn't having any of it but will Pru finally tell Finn her secret? Will Fin understand Pru's motives?

Sweet Little Lies is a fantastic start to this new series but it's so much more than that. This is a must read book with a perfect amount of romance, heat, true friendship, a little bit of angst and forgiveness! You can't go wrong with a Jill Shalvis' book and Sweet Little Lies is another 2016 top favorite of mine!
