Surprisingly delightful.
Those who are familiar with my reviews know that I am very and I mean very uncomfortable with sexual content so you can imagine I was hesitant to pick up this book even though it came highly recommended, figuring that a DNF was the worst that could happen I did it anyway and I'm really glad that I did because I enjoyed it a lot.
Yes, it is gross and yes, there is sexual violence in this book so please approach with caution if you have triggers on that front. Personally, I found the gross aspects of this book were treated as such and were there in service of the story instead of the story being in service of the disgusting scenes which to me makes all the difference between good gross horror and bad (for me) gross horror.
Talia was a compelling character and then ending, oh my, the ending, it was so so satisfying.
