I love this cover. It is similar to book one's cover keeping a nice symmetry throughout the series so far. It's eye-catching. A fairly good representation of the story. It makes great use of graphics. The composition is really good, and the typography is interesting.
I really rather enjoyed this one. Same engaging writing as book one. I felt the pacing in this one was much better. It held my interest from beginning to end. The mystery in this one didn't have the same impact as the one in the previous book, but I was still surprised at who turned out to be the guilty party.
Again we have a whole cast of interesting and likable secondary characters. There was a fascinating addition in this book (Declan Bishop), and I am extremely intrigued by him. As well as London's two brothers. Although one seems to already be in a relationship. I was a tiny bit disappointed we didn't get more Zach (the bad boy biker brother), but his book seems to be up next with Jinx as his heroine.
As for the main characters. Well, both were extremely likable. There was NO angst or drama relationship wise in this book. They just meet, got together and stayed together. I liked them as a couple, but I didn't find them particularly exciting as a couple. In fact, I would say this book leaned way more towards the suspense side than it did the romance side. Which was fine since the mystery was intriguing enough that it carried the book.
After reading both book one and two back to back, I can definitely say that this series has me hooked. The brothers. The friends and family connections. The continuing mystery. It all gives me a ROCK CHICK like vibe, and I LOVE that series, so me enjoying this one really in a no brainer. Two thumbs up from yours truly.
