Why?

This is, once again, very much on me. I had never heard of this series or author before I was at my library looking for a few books to read. I thought the title was interesting, the cover looked cute and the synopsis sounding good. I borrowed it.

If I had read one of the two praises on the back... I would not have bought it. It's by a Grace Burrowes, another author I've never heard of. “Prepare to smile through your tears[...]” Yeah...

So, after four pages and not liking all the tragic things that were already mentioned, I checked around on Goodreads. After reading some of the reviews on the first book in the series I have realized that this series is something like chick-lit tragedy and very unhappy and is so so not for me.
