The Beast Hunters

The Beast Hunters is the first in the Beast Hunter of Ashbourn trilogy
Its such a fun ride following Ara as she goes from losing her family to a beast tragedy to joining two beast hunters and the mystery surrounding the village of Cornstead as it comes under threat from an unknown beast.

I really enjoyed this read and found myself breezing through the chapters. Ara is interesting and her trauma isn't glossed over, but nor does it hold her back. Her two companions of Khendric and Topper are equally interesting and I loved the bond they developed including some fascinating secrets.

There's action and drama and mystery and beasts and it all blends so well together!

I'm giving it 3.5/5 (rounded up to 4) only because it was so short. At times it did feel a little rushed and some things were resolved rather easily but that's about it really
I just wanted more! More of the world, more hunting, more character stuff, more lore, more, more, more! I am very keen to read book 2 now!
