Immaculate pacing and writing, still one of my all-time favorites.

I loved all of it. I couldn't pick out my favorite part right now if you asked me because I have too many. What is it about the bonding of intelligent people that I find so fascinating? I think it is the fact that I don't see it happen everyday.

I didn't expect it to be as technically-written or be so detailed just in the preparing of a cup of tea. But I loved all of it.

I was regretting the fact that I had heard a spoiler about the later books in the series that was one of the main reasons I picked up the book in the first place. But I hadn't given the credit the book was due.

I liked the fact that this Sherlock Holmes was an original; for me, at least–there may very well be other versions similar to this one out there. And Mary Russell was indeed an exceptional character.

There were so many subtleties that I know some are going to overlook because I know there were some that I did. However, the ones that I was able to decipher were nothing short of astounding. I couldn't ask for more–well I could, but it'd just be to satisfy my own guilty pleasure preferences.

I loved all of it. That's all you really need to know.
