The Beekeeper's Promise

Five stars and a standing ovation!

I loved this book, what a gripping love story that spanned two generations. This story follows Elaine in 1940's France during WWII and her work at Chateau Bellevue and that of Abi in 2017 hearing the story of Elaine and her family.

Elaine's story takes place in the 40's where she is thrown into the fight again the Germans in WWII without hesitation and thus plays a part in saving lives. We also get Abi's story in 2017 while she works at the same Chateau that Elaine worked at as she struggle with her own past and from Elaine's story is able to accept her past and move forward stronger than before.

I do not want to give to much away as this story is extremely touching and anything I write will not do it justice. I'm glad that I stumbled upon this book and will forever hold Elaine's character in my heart!
