While the overarching plot moved a lot more in this one, the romance was sacrificed because of it which means I enjoyed this a lot less as a whole.
That being said I pre ordered book 3 and have the second one of the spin off series in my possession lol.
Overall I like the author's writing and I'll probably explore her other pen names too!
