The Boden Birthright

I love these little novella stories. Since eBook introduction, free eNovellas are the most amazing marketing concept in my opinion and what better way to hook a reader to a story, to a series, with vast anticipation about what is to come. I bought this novella as a free Kindle eBook with a glance toward reading more in a new series from Mary Connealy. While it is true that Mary is a favorite author of mine, some series are more addictive than others and the story about the Boden ranch and the Cimarron Legacy has proven to be a catch from the first train whistle and gun shot.

Just what I was in the mood for. It's not a trip to the past in the way true historical fiction is, nor is it an in-depth romance...just a short novella about the older generation's story before the new book comes out. It's evidently meant as a short appetizer, not an involved masterpiece, and I have to say...it does its job well. (As though I wasn't already planning on reading the new book, but...well, you probably know what I mean!)
