I think I fell in love with the rag doll constructs. ♥
This was an interesting book. The premise is intriguing and new. But unfortunately, I didn't love it.
The dialogue was too casual and relaxed for my taste. This is only a personal preference, other readers might find it refreshing that the characters converse like we would with our friends.
I also didn't connect to any of the characters. They either felt too erratic or too flat.
However, something I really did like about the book was the descriptions. I really felt like I could picture the places, the people, and things. Durst does have a very simplistic language that is easy to read and understand. Additionally, she uses modern phrases and language that is relatable
The world really piqued my interest in the beginning, but at the end of the book I felt like it wasn't explored at all, and the world building felt limited to exactly what was needed to move the story forwards.
Durst has tried something here that I think could have been amazing, but unfortunately wasn't. I don't regret reading the book at all, I was entertained and I did have fun, however I wouldn't read it again
