This is my first Mickey Haller novel and I wish I'd read The Lincoln Lawyer before this one: would've given me more insight into Mickey's character.
Without reading the first in the series, this was a thoroughly enjoyable read.
I love a good legal thriller and this one delivered, with suitable twists at the end.
I love the Harry Bosch character from previous books and loved the personal twist with him at the end too.

Mickey Haller is my favorite character in the Bosch connected universe. He may not always have the most ethical stance but you have to admire the way that he works his ass off for his clients. Fun read.
I decided to forge on and read a second book about Mick Haller. I'm really interested in the twists and turns of his legal defense of what has been so far guilty clients. I especially like the charater development and how the story unfolds. Definitely quick paced and enjoyable.
