The Cat Who Played Brahms
The Cat Who Played Brahms
Nope, I think this'll be my last ‘Cat Who' book. It didn't irritate me the way the last one did, but I picked up this series because the premise was fun and easy to read, and I hoped it would be cozy. At this point, only the ‘easy' part rings true. Things get, if not dire, than ugly enough, that it doesn't work as leisure reading. The switch to victims Qwill knows continues, the collateral deaths continue and the sad, petty reasons for it all continue. Oh, and we managed another animal death in this one as well! The beauty standards and gender norms of the 80s just add to reduction in fun. The search for a light, cozy mystery series, where the writing isn't terrible, and perhaps cute animals make an appearance, continues. 😮💨
