The Catcher in the Rye

I realize I'm in a minority here, but this is one of my all time least favorite books. I didn't feel like Salinger was saying anything particularly innovative (although he probably was when the book was written). I've tried to re-read this book, and I still dislike it.

I will, however, admit that the writing style is good, which is why I've given the book 2 stars. In general though, I think it's completely overrated.
