I loved the action and the unpredictable mystery in this book. The heroine has one major failing: not thinking twice about danger before acting. And, not being a trained agent, she often gets in trouble. The hero has to save her on more than one occasion, and it's a good thing he's a fairly forgiving person.
I really liked that the case was based on a real one and that the main character was a writer. I could definitely relate to her attitude toward things she sees–”I can put this in the story.” I also loved seeing the tender side of Tigo in how he cares for his dying mother.
