Unfortunately this one really didn't work for me—I'm actually liked the beginning but the unraveling of the mystery wasn't fast enough!
I started this book and the first 100 pages had me disliking every characters. Thankfully everything began to pick up, and as stories began to unravel I connected more with them and was really interested in how things ended.
Went into this only knowing the genre and was pleasantly surprised! I enjoyed how the chapters were different POVs and that each character had secrets the others didn't know about. This was a very well written thriller that had me guessing what was REALLY going on, and surprising me when it was another twist. Most of the characters felt flushed out but I didn't quite understand a lot of their motives behind what they did. Overall, I had a great time and would be interested in the thrillers/mysteries this author writes in the future!
Thank you to Atria Books, Emily Bestler Books, and NetGalley for providing me with an eBook copy to review.
Unexpected thriller favorite so far this year. The different character perspectives reminded me of some of Lucy Foley's work. Character development was great and the twist ending was well done. Quickly devoured this one as loved the setting, plot and characters.
