It goes into extreme detail on a surprising range of topics, right down to the butchering, storage, and cooking of nearly every animal people of that era/location would eat! The ebook does not have chapter breaks so navigation can be difficult. Language was preserved from the original writing, so spelling and grammar can be hard to understand until you get used to it.
