For a lighthearted, easy read, I thought this was ok, but that's all it really was.
I found Annie's actions really annoying at times. Like her behaving like a teenager when she first meets Jon, rather than the grown woman she's supposed to be! That's just one of many actions that just made me want to yell at her.
The descriptions of the Thorndale were good, but the repeated mention of clothes and eyes was a bit much! Talking of clothes, I really found it annoying/frustrating that Annie kept comparing herself to Sarah (one of the female characters who was very interested in Jon!). I get that it wasn't long since she'd been dumped, but her constantly comparing herself to other women just made her seem weak!
I loved Sam (Annie's friend and wife to Charlie, the Vicar). And of course, I liked Jon, likely because he had no such dramas or hang ups!
Thank you to Pigeonhole and Suzanne for the chance to read this book.
