I really should have written this review two months ago, but it keeps getting away from me. This was my first experience reading a LIH through my Kindle Fire (thanks to NetGalley) and it was great. I am completely impressed with this book and have added the author to my lists to keep an eye on the future. Judd is a great character that had me from page one. It's amazing to me how even though this is a depression era type novel, it can truly relate to more present day things in a way. I read this one shortly after finishing [b:Hearts in Flight 11040407 Hearts in Flight Patty Smith Hall http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1348920190s/11040407.jpg 15960914] which is the same time period, but completely different story. I love that I can come at this point in history with so many different backgrounds and it so applicable to read in times like today, when the economy is hard. Linda Ford won me over with the whit of her characters and the illustration of the romance. The personalities swept off the page and I had trouble finding stopping points, because I just wanted to keep on reading. Highly recommended. Thanks to Harlequin for loaning me a copy for review through NetGalley.Originally posted: http://wp.me/pYHD5-36T
