I've read only a few Bolton novels but I've already come to know her as a master of psychological thrillers. It somehow slipped past me that this was touching witchcraft, but even if the supernatural theme isn't usually my thing, I found this novel very compelling. Bolton is quickly becoming a favourite of mine.
