Contrived and lacking in credibility, this novel benefits far too much from being told out of order, so that the reader is intrigued by hints. But in the end, it's not a fulfilling payoff, and there are no big “reveals” to justify reading 300 pages. Not recommended.
At the beginning I enjoyed the multiple POVs, timelines, and the little sprinkles of mystery. By about the halfway point I had thought I was almost done with the book, only to find out I was midway through. This book is way too slow paced, and unnecessarily long. The ending was too confusing with characters coming out of nowhere to add to the “twist.” I also did not like many of the decisions the characters made, Titus's interactions were particularly strange, and how his family were so passive for his behavior.

Wow... I am just so... damn disappointed. This book was doing pretty damn good. I mean, the mystery, the thrill... and then that got thrown out the damn window and set on fire. Tyler was basically dead, they left him to die, and then when he didn't and caught two of them screwing in the backseat (mind you that they were dating other people in the group.) Henry pushed Tyler to his (supposedly) death. The guy went to the police but didn't do shit because the kids were from important people. THEN at the end when all he wanted to do was get their confession or die... Tyler's damn UNCLE AND AUNT was like nnaahhh this group of people need to not be charge or die for a lil mistake they made.I am livid. This author is a JOKE. God I hate this book.
Expectations are a bitch and I couldn't be much bothered by the disappointment this one caused, or the ending that was both annoying and obviously predictable.
