The second in the steamy, hilarious Campus Diaries series by New York Times bestselling author Elle Kennedy, set in the same world as Off Campus and Briar U.
"I told them I had a girlfriend."
I start to laugh. "This is the greatest day of my life."
"Oh, it gets better, Dixon. I told them it was you."
Diana Dixon has a lot going on this summer. She's rehearsing for a ballroom dance competition, juggling two jobs, and dealing with an ex-boyfriend who can't take the hint it's over. Yet despite all that, she still has plenty of time and energy to tell Shane Lindley to screw off.
Shane just moved into her apartment building and seems dedicated to sleeping his way through her entire cheerleading squad. Sure, he's a tall, gorgeous hockey player, but he's messing with her turf. This calls for some ground rules: no parties in her apartment, leave her teammates alone, and―most importantly―leave her alone.
What Diana doesn't realize is that Shane's sick of hookups and tired of being on the rebound after his long-term girlfriend called it quits. He wants a relationship. And when his ex comes back into the picture, he pretends he has one to make her jealous…and who better to play the girlfriend role than his sassy new neighbor?
Despite Diana's reluctance to break her rule, a fake relationship is the perfect solution for her own ex issues, and soon she can't deny something is sizzling between her and Shane. Something hot and completely unexpected.
And it might just be getting a little too real.

Reviews with the most likes.
It is always a good time being back at Briar University, but this book reinforced why I love Elle Kennedy so much. The Dixon Rule follows Diana, cheer leader for Briar and BFF to GiGi Graham, and Shane, member of Briar's men's hockey team. Shane Lindley is a MMC that I know will be stuck in my head for a while. He's literally the whole package: he's sexy, kind, and communicates like a dream. Diana and Shane find themselves living at the same condo complex, which Diana doesn't love. Some events transpire which leads them to set aside their rivalry and pretend to be dating—which we all know leads to development of real feelings swoon. I loved everything about this book. It is funny, it is sexy as hell, and it was emotional. With tropes like forced proximity, fake dating, enemies to lovers what's not to like? The Dixon Rule reminded me so much of some of Elle Kennedy's earlier works and I loved that! This book does cover some heavy topics so please check trigger warnings or DM me. The Dixon Rule is an adult sports romance 18+ for content and themes.
“A pint-sized hottie with a big personality”
I read the excerpt and I feel like I'm gonna like this one better than the first book. So I will rate it 5 stars for now.

Shane is hands down the best book boyfriend, How does this man know what to do in every situation,
Anyways, hands down the best Elle Kennedy book I have read. i am still obsessed with this series being second gen, the appearances/cameos of the off-campus characters make this series so fun and more enjoyable.
Dianna is such an incredible character, she has her reasons to hate Shane at the beginning but is reasonable. and Shane always lets Diana talk and hears her out, Name anything better than that.
This is definitely the spiciest and kinkiest book by Elle Kennedy so if that isn't your thing maybe skip this one.
Trigger warnings,

Verbal and Physical Assault
Death Of A Parent
