This book is everything I want out of a historical fiction. I only like historical fiction with a twist and this slots perfectly into it. It has the loose plot of a woman writing an advice column however the diversity in this book is phenomenal. I rarely see this perspective in books and I loved reading it and seeing the representation, especially one not featuring “the struggle” of minorities. Aside from that, the writing was perfect, and I was gripped from start to finish. Anyone who has enjoyed at least one historical fiction in the past should read this book, and if possible purchase to support minorities in publishing.
