The Dragonstone

I read this book without knowledge that this was supposed to be prequel to other books so my impression was devoid of any relation to earlier books. I think the book had interesting characters but the story itself is a somewhat cliche story about a band of heroes coming together and going off on a somewhat generic quest - this probably comes from a background of playing a lot of D&D.
