"This story was written specifically for the Mistborn Adventure Game, a tabletop RPG. Please keep in mind that the story was intended to help a GM bring his players up to speed on the world if they haven’t read the books. There are a few goodies for those who want to know more about Kelsier, but this story is not meant to stand wholly on its own."

I really liked this short story. It's interesting to see what Kelsier was like before the events of Mistborn. Unfortunately, I wanted more. This felt like the first chapter in a longer book and I really wanted to keep reading about Kelsier. Overall, a 9/10. - August 11, 2023
This short story is a prequel to Mystborn, introducing Kelsier new to his powers, learning the basics of allomancy. It was apparently released in the guide to a tabletop game. It's meant to both be entertaining, and give the entire backstory to the world in 22 pages. Not something to be read on it's own, but an interesting backstory.
It always feels good to get back to The Mistborn World.
I read this as part of Arcanum Unbounded. It is a very short prequel featuring a favorite character at a pivotal point in his life. I don't think it's essential to read this, but it's worth a few minutes for Mistborn fans.
