Familiar and frightening. Familiar because all of the events, movements, and tactics Wolf highlights are easily recognized, and have been happening for quite some time. Frightening because there aren't enough people concerned to see these things happening. The familiarity comes from the historical resonance of the actions, echoes from many other cultures and countries and times; the fright from how easily the political climate shifted once people within those cultures stopped trying to change things.
