The Falcon Thief

Maybe there's a good story here about Jeffrey Lendrum's obsession with smuggling falcons out of countries, but it's buried in minutiae unrelated to adventures, treacheries, and/or hunting for perfect birds. Lots of history about cops in the UK, falcon racing in Dubai, and setting up an African handiworks shop, but surprisingly little about the actual crimes in question. I got bored and put it down.
