In the middle of the larger arc about the different Forces we have a flashback (ahem) to Barry's first year as a superhero. To begin with this is rather bland, since it's simply retelling the story that we're pretty much all familiar with by now. But it picks up when The Turtle turns up as as the main antagonist, putting a different perspective on things - and one that's presumably relevant to the main arc, what with the Slow Force and all. There's some exploration of the positive things that drive Barry, rather than dwelling on the death of his mother (although that's part of it, too) and some good moments with Iris that help raise this above the average that we've seen for the last couple of volumes.
