The Friday Night Knitting Club

The story of friendship is always compelling, but these particular characters weren't people I would really went ti know. I suppose they turned out okay and the friends stuck with them until they became okay people. So maybe I'm just a bad friend.
Seriously though, the people aren't great and the ending is more tragic than it needed to be. However it is compelling and emotional, so I'm not sorry I read it, or listened to it.
