3.5 rounded down because the middle dragged the deception lasted wayyy too long.
Overall though, I liked how the relationship was built on letters, the very small mystery (wish there was more to that), and the caretaking. I wish the deception plot was finished earlier and we saw more of them trying to mesh their lives together. Also was kinda hoping for a espionage subplot ha!
