I just can't with the trauma bonding. Once, I was like okay but then there was MORE. You just killed two people in front of her, she is SCARED so she runs and you fuck her? AND THEY SHE SAYS I LOVE YOU. I can't. I loved OTT possessive, delusional characters but this man oh my god. She was raped, she comes to your for safety then next day you tie her up and leave her. This book had so much promise, I loved the idea but it just felt like a lot of the “dark” aspects were for shock value and smut value.
