The Heir

I've been looking forward to getting to Kingmakers since I started Brutal Birthright last year and it didn't disappoint!!

I actually like the love triangle trope when it's done well so really enjoyed this, although it was obvious that Anna and Leo are made for each other from the start so Dean didn't stand a chance.

I also really loved the whole boarding school setting with the different divisons and the competition between the year groups.

My only real issue was that it felt a bit too long so the pacing felt a little off. I do think it's a great starting point to the series and can see it just getting better with each book.
